We'll meet for our second time and deepen our understanding of the principles of adult learning.
Workshop Two Objectives
- Upon completion of Workshop Two, each student should be able
to:
- List the main adult developmental periods identified by Levinson. Deleted per ADP Director 02/22/06.
- Discuss "the dream." Deleted per ADP Director 02/22/06.
- Compare and contrast Western social construct with those of other cultures/societies. Deleted per ADP Director 02/22/06.
- Identify potential barriers to learning and development.
- Formulate a plan for overcoming barriers to learning.
- Discuss techniques for achieving time management and life balance.
- Identify multiple intelligence.
Workshop Two Assignments
The following assignments are to be completed prior to this Workshop Two
- Individual
- Read chapter 4 (Conner). As you read, reflect upon your own "learnings" and "unlearnings" thus far and complete the exercise p. 91.
- Journal entry one and be prepared to share key learnings
in class.

regarding this selection. Document should Include what will
be observed, where it will be observed, when it will be observed
as well as why this site was selected. Be prepared to share
information in class and review with the instructor.

See Essay: Self-Directed Learning. - Complete the Multiple Intelligences for Adult Literacy and Education's "Assessment: Find Your Strengths!" online diagnosis of multiple intelligences via http://www.literacyworks.org/mi/assessment/findyourstrengths.html Come to class prepared to discuss your primary and supporting intelligences via an interactive lecture.
- Identify a learning topic of interest for final group presentation.

- What are their interests in the topic?
- What do they already know about this topic?
- How can I engage them?.
