Our Portland Campus is one of eleven Heald College campuses. Other campuses are located in California and Honolulu, Hawaii.
Heald College History
140 years ago, 20-year-old Edward Payson Heald traveled across
the United States to open the first Heald College in San Francisco, California
on August 8, 1863.
Heald's mission was to prepare students for business careers that focused
on practical, hands-on learning. Heald College weathered the 1906 earthquake
and fire and two world wars while remaining true to its original mission.
As the needs of the workplace changed, the Heald College curriculum evolved
from business courses to degrees in business and technology, with campuses
opening across California, Hawaii, and Oregon. >>

We're
located in downtown Portland at 625 SW Broadway. (503) 229-0492 and (800) 755-3550.
Convenient to public transportation and the vibrancy of Portland's city center,
we are in the block north of Pioneer Courthouse Square.
Our student enrollment, as of May 2002, is about 400. The campus occupies
the second, third, and fourth floors of 625 SW Broadway.
We are regionally accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and
Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and College (WASC).
Students earn an Associate Degree in Applied Science.
